JOB TITLE:Clinic Nurse

LOCATION: 1155 East Mountain Drive, Wilkes-Barre

DEPARTMENT:Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

WORK SC HEDULE: Days

WORK TYPE: Part time .5 FTE 40 Hours Biweekly

JOB SUMMARY:

Will be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse providing primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition and adherence with the treatment plan. The Clinic Nurse, functioning in the spirit of teamwork, is accountable for the delivery of care utilizing skills learned in both the clinic and didactic arena. Assists other team members on the unit.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in workload, staffing and scheduling.

Demonstrates ability to maintain BCLS Certification every two years.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.

Demonstrates effective oral, written and c omputer communication skills.

Demonstrates a willingness to work in a team environment.

Demonstrates flexibility and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Demonstrates communication that supports a culture of service excellence.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of accredited nursing program

Current PA license

One year of previous med/surg or clinical experience preferred

Certified BCLS required.
