This position is responsible for nursing services, daily clinical staffing, and the efficient flow of a three room GI unit.
Responsibilities:
Will function as a working manager, taking on the role of the admitting nurse, procedural nurse, or recovery room nurse, as needed
Will be a member of the Endoscopy Center Executive Committee, and Safety Committees
Will be responsible for organizing/managing all manuals and studies necessary for continued certification and accreditation and maintaining appro! priate documentation
Qualifications:
BS or! equivalent experience
Current PA state RN license
Prior Management experience, strong leadership skills
ACLS certified, with experience in GI diagnostic procedures
Familiarity with state, Medicare, and accreditation requirements (AAAHC preferred)
Proficient in computer programs including EXCEL and WORD, and prior experience with billing systems/software
A working knowledge of Medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 codes, patient registration, charge entry functions, or other billing related experience is preferred
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience with AAAHC accreditation and state regulations
