Description: Penn State Hershey Medical Center is looking of Nurse Practitioner, NP, MSN, Hematology / Oncology, Full Time right now, this position will be placed in Pennsylvania. The Nurse Practitioner is an expert in pathophysiology, physical assessment and diagnosis, and pharmacology and exercises authority in health promotion and disease management. The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of healthcare. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. This position will function in multiple areas that provide Oncology care. This position will provide coverage Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues/Wed for three weeks, and Monday through Friday for one week.

Master's degree in Nursing with clinical specialization.

A minimum of two years full-time work experience as an RN.

Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as an NP, which may include a clinical student practicum.

Current active licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.

Must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation.

Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization.

Hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant experience.

This position requires approval from the credentialing committee prior to employment start date.
