Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Vice President of Nursing, the Emergency Department Nurse Manager is continuously responsible for management of the Emergency Department and is directly responsible for nursing administration and for direction and supervision of nursing service functions and activities. The successful candidate will participate in the development of department policies and standards of care, and oversee Performance Improvement and Risk Management pertaining to the ED. The Emergency ! Department Nurse Manager is accountable for day to day operati! ons, including standards of patient care, patient safety, staff performance, orientation, education, quality improvement and public satisfaction. This position is expected to set and meet financial and service line performance goals.
Education /Licensure/CertificationRequirements:
Active and unrestricted New York State RN license required. BSN, or Bachelor’s degree in health related or business field preferred. ACLS/PALS required. TNCC preferred.
Experience:
Three years of progressive leadership experience required. Experience in emergency, prehospital services, and disaster preparedness required.
