Health Care Manager

Location: Gilbertsville Pennsylvania

Description: Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, Inc. is looking of Health Care Manager right now, this position will be placed in Pennsylvania. For complete informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. Responsibilities include the safeguarding of camper and staff health, safety, and security, keeping a health log, maintaining an inventory of health supplies, and securing any medications. This individual will also process health forms and make parent contacts as necessary.

Key Performance Objectives:

• Responsible for ensuring each staff member and camper has on file a health history and examination form as required
• Set up system for health screening for arriving campers and staff
• Maintain the infirmary facility
Secure and dispense all medications brought to camp by campe! rs and staff as required
• Guide campers in participating successfully in camp activities; helping each participant to meet the goals established by the camp for camper development
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Mature adult twenty-one years of age and older as determined by the American Camp Association
• Currently in the process of obtaining or licensed in Pennsylvania as a registered nurse, doctor, EMT or LPN
• Documented experience with children and young adults
• Ability to originate, update, and/or monitor health care, maintain records, and implement the health care plan
• Current CPR and first aid certifications
• Good communication and leadership skills, and the ability to act calmly in the event of an emergency
• Able to function as part of a team
• Ability to assist in leading activities
• Communication and leadership skills
• Knowl! edge of and ability to work with children
• Knowledge of GSUSA, ACA, OSHA and other government and private health and safety regulations affecting camp management is preferred
