The Primary Health Network, a large non-profit organization, is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practica l Nurse and/or Medical Office Assistant for the position of Care Coordinator at our Sheakleyville Health Center and Sandy Lake Community Health Center sites. Position is located in Sheakleyville and Sandy Lake, PA. The hours for this position are generally 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM with some evening hours required.
Job Summary
General Description:
Licensed Practical Nurse- Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.
Medical Office Assistant- This person assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting this includes both clinical and front desk duties.
Job Qualifications/ Requirem ents:
Licensed Practical Nurse
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing and two years’ experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Nursing skills
- Infection Control
- Administering Medication
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in the workplace
- Computer proficient
Medical Office Assistant
- Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant with two years’ experience in direct patient care
- Strong clinical knowledge
- Good communication skills, phone skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to schedule patients
- Flexibility in the workplace
- Previous venipuncture experience or a willingness to learn
- Previous injection experience or willingness to learn
- Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a provider’s direction
- Computer proficient
Successful candidates will be flexible, motivated, and demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills. Experience with electronic medical records is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience, excellent benefits package, EOE.
