Requirements:
1. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience; RN License in the state(s) of practice required 2. Minimum 3 years clinical experience in Pediatrics in an acute care or home care setting, including 1 year in a supervisory capacity; 1 year of clinical training/staff development experience preferred 3. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills; excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize own work load 4. Strong computer knowledge and skills which include; Microsoft Word, Power Point and other similar software 5. Able to be self-directing and flexible in a team environment

Job Description:
Premier pediatric homecare company is seeking an experienced RN for a rewarding and unique opportunity!

Currently seeking a clinical educator to coach and train field staff according to company guidelines. Duties to include, but not limited to: new hire orientations, educational classes (ex. Trach/vent training), and conducting classroom style teaching to prepare and introduce new caregivers to the pediatric homecare environment.

This opportunity is M-F, dayshift position, with a preference to be flexible for the occasional need outside of typical business hours.

Ideal candidate will have previous pediatric homecare experience and/or experience as a nurse educator. Must be proficient with trach/vent care, LTV950 preferred.

This position requires regional travel between several of our locations, travel reimbursement provided.

1. Conduct skills demonstrations to ensure competency of clinical staff as needed based on regulatory and policy requirements, at the direction of the clinical manager as well as the needs of individual clinician 2. Ensure that all federal, state and/or locally required programs and development activities including orientation(s), certification and mandatory in-services are offered to employees. 3. Participate in training and implementing standards interventions, clinical procedures and operational processes to ensure compliance with Company policies, legal requirements and regulatory mandates. 4. Encourage staff participation in in-service training and certification programs to support their personal and professional development. Review recommendations and feedback regarding orientation and staff development programs, monitors/evaluates feedback and recommends improvements as appropriate. 5. Collaborate with recruitment staff in activities related to new hire orientation and ensures that required documentation is completed and processed. 6. Identify skills/competencies required to support current/future business activities and ensures adequate education and training are conducted in response to identified needs. Gathers/analyzes data to define deficits in skills/competencies in the marketplace. 7. Provide remedial education for field staff at the direction of the Clinical Manager. 8. Other duties as assigned.

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Physical demand and requirements: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, bending, seeing, repetitive motions, climbing and digital dexterity and sensitivity.
  • Physical requirements:
o For office work â€" exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. o For patient visits; Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and /or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. o Visual Acuity: Must have visual ability to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, read extensively, operate machines, tools and devices utilized, operate motor vehicle, and perform nursing functions/techniques involved in the job responsibilities. o Work Conditions: The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
