Department: LDRP - Labor and Delivery

Status: Casual
Shift: Minimum of two 12 hour shifts per 6 week schedule and take three 12 hour night calls per 6 week schedule

Job Summary: As a casual nurse, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization.

Job Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.

Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplina! ry plan of care based on assessment findings and physician ord! ers for the age appropriate population.

Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication.

Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care.

Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:
Current PA RN license.

Minimum 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery.
