Position Description
Responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming ! documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance,! and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
This position can be in Moon Township, PA or Livonia, MI.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the development of Java/J2EE applications
Participate in technical design and code reviews
Development documentation for customer support
Perform Unit and Integration testing
Work closely on a team of Architects, Developers, Q/A, and Documentation/Training personnel
Support existing programs and modules

Minimum Requirements
2+ years experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems

Critical Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in Object oriented software development
Strong knowledge in Java (ideally 2 years but not required)
Experience in Full Life-cycle development and deployment
Working knowledge of Middleware technologies such as J2EE, Messaging, LDAP, Collaboration, and Integration servers required
Understand! ing of UML required
Knowledge of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL) required, Oracle experience preferred

Additional Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of procedures, utilities, and good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on a team towards a common goal
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Actively seeks learning opportunities and applies acquired knowledge to the job
Generates different and novel ways to deal with work problems/opportunities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
Exceptional customer service skills required
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment

Education 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure
Sun/Oracle Java Certification is a plus.
