University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a flex full-time Clinical Program Coordinator to help support the Radiology Administration Department for its Children's H! ospital and Magee locations. This position will work daylight, weekdays. Responsible for clinical coordination for special women's health programs including providing clinical education and professional nursing care relating to risk factors, symptoms, detection and prevention techniques and treatment options for program-related medical conditions and age specific populations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee program and patient coordination activities to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved by providing direction to program staff, maintaining efficient operations and overseeing quality of patient care provided.
- Provide assessments, nursing intervention, individualized patient and family education and supportive counseling. Coordinate referrals and services with other health care providers as appropriate.
- Collaborate with members of multidisciplinary team in developing and providing comprehensive plan of care for patients.
- Serve as primary recipient of health line calls and asse! sses needs. Provide general education information and coordinates services or referrals as appropriate.
- Implement patient care plans and ensures follow up on all aspects of the plans.
- Participate in outreach programs and assists in developing, marketing and coordinating programs to provide education and enhance consumer awareness.
- Serve as liaison and resource person to physician practices and support services personnel to ensure comprehensive services are rendered.
- Responsible for following the mandatory reporting procedures for any incident or serious event that did affect or potentially could have affected the clinical care of any patient.
- Preferred experience in Radiology Research.
- Knowledge of clinical nursing theory including patient evaluation and education normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Knowledge of trends and issues relate! d to women's health, adult education and the psychological and physical needs of adult women normally gained through at least three years of experience in a women's health capacity.
- Analytical ability at the level necessary to evaluate treatment options, identify appropriate educational programming options and organize multiple responsibilities.
- Oral skills necessary to communicate effectively with patient, consumers and health professionals and written skills sufficient to complete required reports and documentation.

- All clearances must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
