Description
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Medical Surgical Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Provide direct professional nursing care for assigned patients while maintaining a safe patient care environme! nt. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing car! e based on established clinical nursing practices. Promote the health and well-being of the patient and significant other through the care continuum utilizing the nursing process.
The Graduate Nurse will work providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times. The Graduate Nurse will not assume charge responsibilities
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Current PA Practice Permit/ Registered Nurse license
BLS required, must be completed prior to end of orientation period
Organizational skills, clinical expertise, teaching/instructing, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care.
