Licensed Practical Nurse - Charge-Skilled Care

Description: Willow Valley Retirement Communities is currently interviewing Licensed Practical Nurse - Charge-Skilled Care right now, this position will be placed in Pennsylvania. Models exemplary customer service and models car! e, compassion and trust toward Team Members and Residents. Creates a positive, encouraging and educational environment for Team Members. Ensures consistency among Supportive Living Communities in all operations, policies and procedures. Supervises and coordinates personnel delivery of nursing care on assigned shift. Accurately transcribes and carries out physicians' orders. Explains procedures and treatments to Resident to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. Administers treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Assists in development and implementation of Resident Care Plan; updates care plan as needed. Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of Resident. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of Resident. Assists RN Clinical Manager or RN Supervisor in resolution of Resident and Resident family nursing issues. Observes Resident, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies superviso! r or Physician of Resident's condition and reaction to drugs, ! treatments and significant incidents. Attends monthly nurse meetings. Assists with performance appraisals, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol. Cleans rooms, makes beds, and answers Residents' calls as needed. Inventories and requisitions supplies. Performs other job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises team members in the Skilled Nursing Unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities under the direction of the RN Clinical Manager or RN Supervisor in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems in collaboration with RN Clinical Manager or RN Supervisor.
