Physical Therapist Job Description: Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility! , relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health. Their patients include accident victims and individuals with disabling conditions such as low-back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and cerebral palsy.
Diagnose patients dysfunctional movements by watching them stand or walk and by listening to their concerns, among other methods Set up a plan for their patients, outlining the patient's goals and the planned treatments Use exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients pain and to help them increase their ability to move Evaluate a patients progress, document the stages of recovery, modifying a treatment plan and trying new treatments as needed Educate patients and their families about what to expect during recovery from injury and illness and how best to cope with what happens Physi! cal therapists often consult and practice with a variety of ot! her professionals, such as physicians, dentists, nurses, educators, social workers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists.

Qualifications

• PSV and HC are required. (No temp licenses are allowed)
• BLS for Home Health is required
• 1 year current Physical Therapy experience

Additional Information

Travel, Per diem or Temp to Full-time Pay: $ 42 to $ 44 per hour Benefits package available
