Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Telemetry Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Provide direct professional nursing care for assigned patients while maintaining a safe patient care environment. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing c! are based on established clinical nursing practices. Promote t! he health and well-being of the patient and significant other through the care continuum utilizing the nursing process.

The Graduate Nurse will work providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times. The Graduate Nurse will not assume charge responsibilities.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

Current PA Practice Permit/ Registered Nurse license

BLS required and must be completed prior to the end of orientation period; ACLS may be required

Managerial skills, clinical expertise, teach./instruct, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care. Clinical, managerial, communication, problem-solving, teaching skills. Independent thinker, ability to make sound judgments, ability to handle stress, a! bility to react to emergency and crisis situations, commitment to quality care.
