Roxbury Treatment Center is a private 112-bed sub-acute
detoxification/rehabilitation and psychiatric center located at the
foothills of the scenic Blue Mountains. In our 60-bed chemical
dependency unit, detoxification is conducted under close medical
supervision. The team of physicians and our around-the-clock nursing
staff provide the needed assessment and care. The Recovery Program
dependencies. Our treatment team includes Certified Addictions
Counselors, Masters and Bachelors level clinicians, and nurses.
Our Military Initiative Program opened in June 2010 to treat active
military personnel dealing with chemical dependency and mental health
issues. The co-occurring program developed by our Treatment Team is a
dynamic and multifaceted approach for this specialized treatment
program.
Roxbury also has an acute psychiatric unit treating
individuals with mental illnesses who need short-term
hospitalization. This program specializes in treating adult patients
who are suffering from co-occurring disorders; mental illness and
substance use/abuse issues. Staffed with mental health techs and
nurses around the clock, our Chief Medical Officer and psychiatrists
oversee this cutting edge psychiatric treatment program.
We
also offer individual and group chemical dependency therapy at our
outpatien! t clinics located in Carlisle and Chambersburg.
Roxbury Treatment Center currently has a Per Diem Mental Health
Technician position available on our Adolescent unit.

Requirements
Job Summary :
The Mental Health Tech provides direct patient
care under the supervision of the MHT Supervisor or registered nurse.
Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and
therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and activities of daily!
living.
Education And Experience:
Bachelors De! gree from
an accredited college in Psychology, or other related field and one
year of clinical experience (minimum 1820 hours) in a health or human
services agency, preferably in a co-occurring setting, required.
Environmental Conditions:
Exposure to psychiatric patients
who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure
to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous
waste. General hospital environment.
Physical
Requirements:
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 40
pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and
stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of
post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
