Job Summary:
The CRNP is professionally responsible to provide the patients with excellence of practice as demonstrated by competent, safe care mandated by standards set forth by St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children policies/procedures, nursing policies/procedures, JCAHO standards and CRNP Scope of Practice and Standards. Provide clinical support to physicians as assigned by the Section Chief.

Ability to work independently. Highly organized for individual/family related issues as well as in Section scheduling and organization. Able to make sound, reasonable judgments with use of analytical and problem-solving approaches. Demonstrated knowledge and sensitivity to diversity issues and respect for individual differences. Demonstrated leadership ability, accountability, flexibility, creativity and openness. Demonstrated knowledge of patient/family outcome management. Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth. Demonstrated ability to accurately perform age-specific assessments on children from neonates through adolescents. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, developmental, social, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the ! patients served in their service area.
Qualifications
:
Training & Education:
Masters in Nursing preferred. License to practice as a registered nurse and as a certified registered nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania required. National certification by ANCC or NAPNAP preferred.
Experience:
Preferably a minimum of one year’s experience in advanced practice nursing role. Prior work experience suitable for the position is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
None.
Required Licenses
: License to practice as a registered nurse and certified registered nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania. National certification from ANCC or NAPNAP preferred.
