Assistant provides claim and benefit management support, responds to inbound
customer service calls, triages requests, researches d! ata referrals, maintains
patient and provider information, produces customer and operational reports,
and fulfills program information requirements.
Responsibilities :
Assist Supervisor(s) with the
daily functions of the VillageHealth Assistants, including but not limited
to creating the daily schedule, running daily huddles, training teammates
while maintaining VillageHealth Assistant responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls from
patients, patient family members, teammates, and other renal healthcare
professionals with professionalism, knowledge, and courtesy
Engage and welcome
beneficiaries; provide CMS and commercial program information as
necessary
Respond to inquiries and act
on the data gathered per established procedures
Maintain working knowledge of
all program benefits; explain program details and benefits to
participants in commercial and CMS programs
Ad! d and modify data and information
in all knowledge databases
Locate and verify data related
to members, providers and dialysis centers through various methods
including Internet research and communication with facilities and
providers
Reconcile payment data to
maintain accuracy
Recognize potential process
improvement ideas and suggest ways to improve procedures
Follow-up on claims issues,
fulfillment issues, member benefits, and other questions using established
procedures and follow-up mechanisms
Coordinate patient services and
appointments across DaVita locations
Prepare, create, input, and
maintain enrollment data within established time parameters and in
accordance with CMS and commercial contract guidelines and regulations
Assist VillageHealth teammates
as necessary to complete accurate enrollment app! lications to meet CMS and
commercial contract standards
Work closely with field
teammates to ensure prospecting, enrollment, and documentation processes
flow smoothly and up-to-date CMS and commercial contracts requirements are
communicated proactively

High school diploma or
! equivalent required
Associate's or Bachelor's
degree in related area preferred
Minimum of three (3) years'
experience in healthcare customer service environment required
Minimum of two (2) years'
experience with Health Plans and member/provider services preferred
Minimum of one (1) year's
experience with databases required
Intermediate computer skills
and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required; ability to learn
new applications quickly required; proficiency in VillageHealth MIST
system required within 90 days of employment or position change
Advanced proficiency in data
entry required
Internet and research
abilities required
