JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for various patient observation/reporting, inventory, shipment, and delivery tasks for VITALine Infusion Pharmacy Services, a program of Geisinger Community Health Services.

Involves observing patients status and informing appropriate personnel of any problems noted. Including coordinating arrangements for equipment and vehicle maintenance and handling the appropriate paperwork in accordance with assigned duties.

Works cooperatively with the Delivery Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of supplies to patient s homes.

Reports to the VITALine Pharmacy Site Manager. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize satisfaction.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and to read, understand, and follow directions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required.

• Must complete Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is typically performed in an office environment.
• This position involves lifting, pushing, and pulling inventory, and using a lift cart or rolling cart; extensive traveling throughout the Geisinger Health System service area; and sitting for long periods of time.
• There is a potential for exposure to hazardous and infectious materials.
