Performs a variety of duties to provide and coordinate quality nursing care to residents. Participates with the Director of Nursing and the Nurse Manager in establishing specifi! c goals; determines work procedures and expedites work flow; insures compliance with all operating policies and procedures and {enter state name} Department of Health regulations and Federal Health Care Administration regulations; communicates with and supervises personnel; provides daily reports and other periodic reports as required. Performs all the duties of a staff nurse or certified nursing assistant when required .

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years clinical experience in medical/surgical, rehabilitation, or emergency services and/or previous UM experience.

Previous computer experience i.e.: typing & internet search skills.

Working knowledge of medical practices & procedures.

Knowledge of Utilization Management, Case Management or Disease Management including inpatient & outpatient practice patterns.

Clinical assessment skills required.

Decision making skills required.

Verbal & written commu! nication skills required.

Basic office skills includi! ng typing, general office equipment, and telephone required.

Ability to collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret and apply established medical criteria.

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
