Description: Torresdale Campus is at present recruited Interventional Radiology Technologist right now, this vacancy will be placed in Pennsylvania. Reporting to the Interventional Radiology Supervisor, this position is responsible for producing radiographs during the conduct of speciali! zed interventional radiology diagnostic & therapeutic procedures. Incumbents are assigned to an Interventional Radiology diagnostic radiologic team consisting of physicians, nursing personnel and technologists working in concert to perform such specialized radiographic examination such as vascular “non-cardiac” angiographic, drainage, biopsies, nephrostomies, catheter insertions, vascular Embolization, and other procedures. During the conduct of the Interventional Radiology these positions receive their direction from the physician in charge. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. May be required to rotate through all campuses of Aria Health Radiology. Knowledge of needles, catheters, sterile techniques and drugs needed in each exam. Knowledge of techniques procedures, use of equipment and hospital /departmental policies. Interpersonal communication skills. Ability to assess situations, considers alternatives and chooses appropriate course of act! ion. Ability to establish priorities and organize work logical! ly.
Education: Satisfactory completion of formal x-ray technology training program as specified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Minimum one year additional training in interventional radiology in a hospital setting. Experience: Minimum of three years as an x-ray technologist and two years as an interventional radiographer in a hospital environment. Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
